I think good beer is scarce - but I'm pretty sure you can find some blow and crack whores down there. Better get yourself a piece. Everyone in S. Florida carries a loaded one on their passenger seat.

Actually, Ft. Myers isn't that bad. My parents live there. It's almost like the East Coast was 20 years ago. I'll give it another 5 years before all the strippers and refugees move in.

You can get Bell's in Florida. That might be the closest. Can't wait for that Oberon at the end of the month!

Founders Centennial IPA is quite possibly the greatest beverage ever imagined. Mmm... I need to track some down, if this damn hop shortage hasn't killed it.

No issues with the hops shortage, yet. However, Founders is just now completing a backlog of orders created when they moved into a new facility. It just took them some time to rebuild their inventory. From Nov. through Feb., they had very few beers on tap at the brewery. They wouldn't fill growlers, either. It was a dark time.

Hey! Since you're still up in that area man, you might try the brewpub in Battle Creek, Arcadia brewing... they have volunteer day every Monday, where you help bottle and package the beer off the bottling line man.... and they call it volunteering, but if you play your cards right, you might just get compensated with a case of "yeast samples". and with 6 packs of specialty brew up there costing $10 a pop, it's well worth three hours of your time... but then again, you might have a real job or some actual productive time commitment on Monday mornings from 8:30 to 12pm....! plus the mug club there.... 20 oz mug for $2.50, how my broke ass managed to stay in beer while working for $10 and hour at Michigan state.......
