Hello from Ames, IA

Wed Jul 25, 2007 10:11 am

I've been listening to the BN archives at work for the last several months, so I finally decided to join the forum. I post a lot on the Northern Brewer and Brew Board as well as here.

I have been brewing for the last 2.5 years, and recently moved to all-grain in March. Since then, I've made close to 30 batches of AG beer. Typically, I brew at least once a week so I'm always looking for new recipes to try. I have 2 kegerators, one sanyo conversion and one GE chest freezer conversion. Pictures and a kegerator build for the chest freezer can be found at my website below.

I'm a member of the Ames Brewers League, and am currently the website administrator for the club. We meet once a month to discuss beer and have a style competition where we provide feedback for peoples' beer. It's a really fun time. We're having our barleywine brewing day in a couple weeks, so that should be a good time.

So that's pretty much it. Glad to be part of the forum!

Welcome! We have a couple other Iowegians on here too. You get over to John's Grocery often. I need to get back over there for another major beer run.

A big welcome to a fellow Iowan :D

Another NB convert. Sweet. Welcome to the nut house. (I said nut). I do like both forums, but you'll find this one a lot more relaxed than NB.

A large portion of my family lives up in your area. I'm sure you're familiar with the booming metropolis that is otherwise known as Galva.
