New brewer from San Leandro CA

Sat Mar 17, 2007 8:13 pm

Hi everyone from San Leandro - home of Drakes! Anyhow, I started listening to the show on Free FM and quickly downloaded and listened to a bunch of the podcasts. After over-thinking it for a good while I finally bought a kegging kit from Morebeer and found a nice $15 Sears Coldspot fridge on Craigslist. I have my first brew, a California Common, bubbling away in a carboy right now with a week or so left to wait. So, the next step is kegging it and hopefully not getting beer all over myself. Wish me luck!!!

Remember the primary goal is to get beer all over the inside of yourself. Welcome to the forum.

Thanks guys... I'll let you know how it goes. Hey, just realized I didn't say my actual name, so uh, it's Bobby. Okay, later!

Just checking back in... first batch is in the keg, and the taste is... I'll say "not bad", definitely drinkable but more of a learning experience for future brews. Gonna head down to MoreBeer tomorrow and get another few kits to further refine my methods... haha... anyway thanks everyone here for the continued great tips and discussion!
