CaraVienne? What does it bring to a beer?

Wed Jan 03, 2007 7:34 pm

What does CaraVienne add to a beer? What amount of grain is a light touch of CaraVienne properties and what amount is a slap in the face of CaraVienne?

The objective is to understand this grain for my Belgian recipe I'm making.

Thanks!

Caravienna is going to provide sweetness just like your Crystal malts. Caravienna along with your other "Cara" malts will also provide a little maltiness as well. Your Crystal malts do add any maltiness.
