No, but it turns out that 'Homebrew Stuff' in fact IS a sexual maneuver.

And remember, the TRUTH is somewhere in between.

Businesses exist to make money. If they don't make money, they don't survive. The degree to which profit is the driving force determines the personality of the business. But make no mistakes -- without profit there is no service. As a business owner I have to balance what I charge my clients with what I need to pay my bills. I need to make enough profit to put food on my table after the bills are paid. I have to generate enough income to be able pay quality people to do a quality job. Outstanding customer service combined with reasonable prices is why we have a loyal client base. But in order to maintain that level of service, fees will need to increase at least as much as our expenses do.

Employees need to make money too. Some will accept less for the love of what they do and others will always be looking for more. Who knows, maybe those guys got better offers.

A couple observations:

1. NB's new small batch kits seem totally out of character. Quick way to make a buck.

2. The white house beer kits are also a money grab. How many of you were excited to order these?

3. If neither side is talking about it, there is obviously turmoil. Good for these dudes though. Brewing strong, relying on their sugga mommas.

I hear Blogging is a highly lucrative enterprise....Forget those guys at Google who are mining space rocks, Bloggers will be the next titans of industry. In fact, I have 3 venture capitalists looking at funding the development of my own blog. I'll be playing Bridge with Bill Gates and Warren Buffett before you know it!
