Christmas haul 2011

Mon Dec 26, 2011 11:41 am

I received some good-looking Belgians this year for Christmas:

Leifmans - Oud Bruin
Brouwerij De Halve Maan - Straffe Hendrik 11
Brouwerij Golden Spoor - Robustus 2010
Lindemans - Tea Beer
Cnudde - Bruin Bier
Ambachtelijke Brouwerij met proefzaal - 'T GAVERHOPKE

Can't wait to try them all.

My brother in law brought me back a bottle of Wild Wild Ale from Chad Y. at the Crooked Stave from his visit to the GABF and local brewtours. Very excited to try that one!

No beers or brewing stuff for me this year, but I did add some more shelves in my beer closet, and got them all organized in one place, and gave a pantry shelve back to the Mrs.

Brewing Better Beer by Gordon Strong
Farmhouse Ales by Phil Markowski

Indirect gifts:
It might not be the best start but my cousin bought her husband a Mr. Beer kit, now I need to just get him bitten by the bug.
Getting my BMC(and vodka) Aunt to try a Flanders Red and she liked it.

$50 GC from Farmhouse Brewing Supply ( good prices on Perlick 525SS )
2012 Bottles of Beer Desk Calendar ( doesn't seem like Charlie P had input on this one. January 1st is Jolly Pumpkin Madrugada Obscura )
Brother P-Touch for labeling stuff in the brewhouse

I don't tell my wife to get brewing stuff because I'd probably end up with a Mr. Beer kit. :P

We went to Western CT to visit my BIL, and while I was there, I picked up Rochefort 6, 8, & 10.

23L glass carboy to work on more lambics and an Ultimate Beer Guide Australia & New Zealand.

The book will come in handy as I'm going for a drive to Melbourne in the new year.
