Brewed a clone of a fellow brewers Double Truffles last night with a mate.
Tis a big beer, prior to adding the bourbon to the keg - think of a thick sweet dessert beer!
If it comes close to the original it should be a cracker!!!

Hit all my numbers and also collected 10L of 3rd runnings (at 1045 ish) which I have boiled separately with aged hops and will pitch in some lambic dregs to get a black lambic happening

My 8 year old daughter loves craft beer. Since she was 5, I've been letting her have a sip here and there.

Get her some pink brew boots and she'll be good to go!

Partigyle Brew Day Sunday.

American Barley Wine 1120 OG
2nd Runnings - American Pale Ale 1060 OG

All went well and hit some good numbers considering the mash tun was chockers with 17kg (37-ish lbs) of grain!

Just pitched my Wyeast 1084 Irish Ale starter into a dry stout. Surprisingly, the brew log shows I brewed this same recipe (Jamil's) exactly one year ago, today. The only difference being that last time I used 1056, instead of 1084. Oh, and this time I ran the roasted barley thorugh a coffee mill, as he suggested. We'll see how those changes affect the outcome. Last time, It was pretty decent, and very, very clean. Maybe too much so...
Hopefully, the Irish yeast will give it a little more character.
