I brewed the "dead guy ale" clone from CYBI and used dry yeast (safe ale 05). It turned out great!
I did not have to plan three days ahead to make the starter, no work to make the starter, no DME, no pressure cooker, no stir plate, I just re-hydrated. I did use two packets, but that was the same price as one liquid smack pack/vial. Tell me again why to use liquid yeast?
