I will be out there Friday and Saturday. My beer is being served at the Pro Am table on Friday so I'll probably hit up the early session then head to Falling Rock that night.

GABF, only a few weeks away! See you all there!

Triple Rock was kind enough to invite me to do a Pro-Am beer again. Going in a little different direction this year. Ordinary Bitter. 3.5% ABV. Pouring at the Pro-Am booth Saturday afternoon. Stop by and check it out. Here's the *ahem* "Commercial Description" (har har) -

Nostalgiaholic: This is not an aggressive beer. You probably won't like it. It is quite doubtful that you have the taste to be able to appreciate a subtle, balanced, old-school English-style session Pale Ale of this quality. We would suggest that you stick to safer and more familiar territory -- maybe something with a million IBUs, a ton of alcohol and an elaborate, flowery description.

Cheers! Kippis! Skål! Prost!

Definitely getting excited.

I think I will be focusing on English Session beers and German sours, along with anything else that looks good.

There are usually a good amount of berliners and goses that are quite good, I am just hoping I can find some good bitters and milds.

And of course, every sour I can find will be consumed as well.

I will have a couple of beers at GABF, and I will also have a funky saison homebrew at the WBF on Thursday night. Any BNers in town for the GABF should definitely come by the WBF. It is a great time.

World Brewers Forum, an event my homebrew club (KROC) puts on every year at the nearby Marriott. We have two speakers (Chris White and Patrick Rue), lots of swag given away via raffle, lots of stuff to bid on in a silent auction, and 16 homebrews on tap. Free to get in but buying raffle tickets and bidding on the silent auction items is strongly encouraged.

It goes from 8pm-12am on Thursday, so you can go to the session and to the WBF no problem. I usually leave the session early to go to the WBF because it is always a good time.

It is definitely worth going to.

The last couple of years, a few BNers have gone on a road trip North on Thursday. Any interest this year?

I had a brain fart when I made my reservations, so I'm flying in Tuesday afternoon instead of Wednesday. Anything going on Tuesday night and Wednesday? I'm real good at drinking alone, but I'd rather have supervision....
