Anyone else going to this? I'm going to the 1st session from 12-4. Then probably hit up a bar afterwards since I'll be in the Seattle area.

I'm gonna try, but I'm pretty sure my daughter has a gymnastics meet.

Well I went to the fest yesterday. It was fun. Both sessions were sold out. Lots of good beer.

I ran into one other person wearing a BN hoody. Also Belgian Beer Me was there. I met Stu Stuart and I'm going to go to one of his beer classes next month.

This was their 1st annual Belgian Beer Fest. Its put on by a group called WABL. Washington Beer Lovers. http://www.washingtonbeer.com

There were about 24 local breweries there. I believed the Skagit River Brewing had the best beer there. They had a Belgian Strong Dark Ale.

I had a beer from Issaquah Brewing(owned by Rogue) and they had a Belgian Tripel that I really liked. It was called Menage a Frog.

Black Raven had their barrel aged beer there as well. That was my 2nd favorite beer there. It was called Pour les Oiseaux which was a Wine Barrel Aged Saison.

I had a few others from other local breweries there like Elsyian, Dick's, Georgetown, etc. But I think the Skagit River and Black Raven stood out the most.

There was also some Belgian style ice cream there and Belgian Waffles. I tried a waffle, they were yummy.

And like I said, Stu Stuart was there and I talked to him. I mentioned that I heard him on the BN and he said he loved doing the interview with you guys and said ya'll were funny as hell.

Thats all I got for highlights really.

Such a fucking awesome beer! They'll be releasing it on tap at the taproom this week!
