Sierra Nevada Anniversary Ale 2009

Wed Oct 21, 2009 9:50 pm

Does any have a recipe for this beer? I just noticed that there is a recipe list of the right side of the label and wondered if this sounds right. I love this beer and think I may try it as my first all grain batch.

I love that one too, but I don't have a clone. It helps that the Super Target in my neighborhood carries it for like $13 a 12 pack.

Their site says;

ABV 5.9%
Top-fermenting Ale Yeast
beginning gravity 14.9 Plato (1.061)
ending gravity 3.5 Plato (1.014)
bitterness units 46
bittering hops Chinook
finishing hops Cascade
dry hopping Cascade
malts Two-row Pale, Caramel & Munich

Sounds like a pale with Munich malt to give it a malty flavor and a red/orange color. What does the recipe on the bottle say, and how did you get the picture reversed?

I haven't seen Anniversary ale here. Give us a review.

Well, you know what yeast to use! It's a great beer man, I love pretty much everything that they do. (I can't believe when I hear people say their beers are boring! I think they must not understand the terrific amount of craftsmanship and quality that goes into these beers.)

Just remember the IBUs the are claiming are probably a real measurement, so I'd go closer to 55 or so calculated.
