Have to brew on the Forth of July to celebrate our founding fathers who where brewers. Even Budweiser has a flagged can to bring attention to consumers that George and Thomas were into brewing.

Brewed the following yesterday to keep the rest of the weekend wide open for all the festivities:

5/g Blonde
5/g Koelsch
5/g English Pale
5/g Smoked Porter (alder)
3/g Mead

I had a couple of friends come by so we brewed, watched World Cup, ate and drank a lot of beer!

I am thinking of doing a classic american cream ale or an APA on the 4th. Guess I had better decide today so I can wake up my yeast.

I'm doing an Irish(?) Red. I guess I could do the thing that we did to the French a while back and just call it a "Freedom" Red instead. Hope that doesn't change the flavor profile!

How about an American Red? I just kegged one Friday and started sampling today! Yum!!

Not quite in line with the yeast strain that I have spinning up right now. But, hey since it physically is being brewed in the US, I would sort of be an American Red anyway, right?
