NHC 1st round just around the corner

Right now they've only received results from the East region and they got that on Monday 4/20. 5 other regions have already judged but haven't sent their results to the AHA.

The West region finished judging at 4:30PM on 4/19 and the AHA had our results by 8:30PM because we did not have an onsite internet connection. West entrants are receiving their scoresheets today. So our status would more accurately be described as DONE AND DELIVERED!

dang, I meant did a certain brewcasting fruit advance a beer, I know Justin can't but thought maybe JP would advance out of the first round (unlike the Sharks)

JP just posted on Facebook that he got third in mead, but the judges thought his oaked beer had tannins in it. Apparently, he is not his normal, happy self.

That blows. At least they could try and get them up a few days before Longshot closes so I can enter my beers that don't advance over there.

Brad, the one I'm looking at is the Buzz Off http://buzzhomebrewclub.com/, the entry deadline is 5/23 and they only require 2 bottles - perfect for those bottles you won't be needing for the NHC 2nd round - drink 1 to see how it is, and send in the other 2.


I dropped my Longshot entries off at Sam Adams last week - the place was packed for tours, you should have seen the disbelieving looks I got for bringing beer TO a brewery from all the tourists.
