Yep. That's what I look like the morning after drinking a dozen pints of Zywiec Porter and several other unpronounceable beers at the Dnipro Ukrainian Center and then a capping it off with a couple more pints of our 5 Minute Hate IPA.

For being new to all-grain brewing as of the New Year I like our chances at AWoG...

to get demolished.

What's the prize for 2nd to last?
gbob is a douche.

nickelcitybrewing.com sucks a little less than before.

i think that second to last is either a donkey punch or a lucky piere, not totally sure yet.

Don't worry, you'll do fine. You entered to learn right?

Wanna learn more? You could help out with stewarding. Stewards are essentially assistants to the judges. The judges with do their thing and after the sheet is filled out, they will talk to each other on positives/negatives of the beer. They will adjust the scores if they need to. By stewarding, you will get to hear the jargon that they use and possible refine your pallet to theirs.

If you'd like to help out, you can sign up on the website at www.awoghomebrew.com

That actually sounds like a hellagood time. What nights and times would we be needed? I might have some babysitting issues to work out.

three judging sessions on friday (the 6th) 9am, 1pm, 5pm
two judging sessions on saturday (the 7th) 8am, 12noon
BOS judging to follow

BOS judging is very interesting to watch. Just the sight of it is mesmerizing. Each BOS judge sitting with 30-40 glasses of differently colored beer in front of them, eliminating beers that are really good but not good enough.

I thought about stewerding as a possibility, but I'm pretty f'in far....

gbob, do it up though, I doubt you'll regret it! (you could smash all of the competing bottles in your categories and stack the deck in your favor   )

Crap.

I have tickets to the sabres game on Friday, and I'm not sure if I can find a babysitter on Saturday morning.

Would you still need help for the noon session?

I don't want to spread rumors but....

I was checking the Judge sign-up last night and noticed that one of the four judges that do the calibration of palate thing in Zymurgy has signed up to judge all sessions for AWOG!!!! I hope he judges my fucking beers!
