Stumbled onto your site downloaded a podcast and can't get enough.

I'm a brew veteran of 12 years and 200+ batches and a former broadcaster (radio and TV). Brew quite frequently because this town (and FL in general) is a craft brew void. There's one brewery here on the east coast and it produces lousy contract beers. Most bars here just stock the tasteless macros. A few have Sam Adams lager. That's it. Cherish the brew culture you have on the left coast!

I have a cheap primitive all-grain setup but churn out some pretty good froth IMHO. All ales, lagers are out of the question unless I invest in some additional refridgeration equipment.

Love your show...professionally produced, very informative, but with the atmosphere of a bunch of guys (and gal...sorry) tipping a few at a brewpub.

Didn't intend to misrepresent myself....the "screaming eagle" referrence doesn't pertain to the 101st airborne...although both my family and my wife's have a military background.

Instead...I'd been brewing for a long time, had cute names for each recipe, but could never could think up a catchy name for my picobrewery. My infant son solved that problem. Our surname translates to "eagle," and he had colic. So he screamed on often for hours on end. So, there you go, "screaming eagle." A Native American flavor to it...wonder how it translates into Sioux or Seminole?

My 9mo old was colicy, I feel for you dude. My wife and I can very close to ripping our faces off!

He's 5 now and that now seems a distant memory, or nightmare more accurately. He would never sleep more than 3 hours at a time as an infant and had terrible reflux. The Dr. had him on Tagament and we used to give him cherry Maalox in his baby bottle. He loved it!

Shortly after my wife stopped breast feeding, all the symptoms vanished. He must have been allergic to her milk.
