I was looking over the floor plan of the hotel (can you tell I'm psyched?). Looks like the Grand Ballroom on the 5th floor will be partitioned into "Salons" for the seminars. If so, it'll be nice, because going from one seminar to another will be like going around the corner, instead of the other side of the hotel.

That's usually the way it works. They break the big ballrooms (heh- BALL rooms) into smaller ones for the sessions, then they take the walls back again at night for the big-room events like club night, etc.

As I'm new this NHC thing I have a question about the seminars, do you have to book in to the ones you wish to attend or just front up at the time and try and find a seat?

Nope, just find the one that "Fits" you and attend. If you don't like where it is going walk out and go next door to the next one.
