I went to the festival last year and it's a great time. There a couple of large auditoriums that are filled with hundred or so microbrewers pouring out their best. They get packed on Saturday but the is hardly anyone around on Sunday. This is the only place I was able to try a commercial example of a standard perry. The resort is located up in the foothills of the Poconos so there are lots of trails in a couple of state parks that are nearby.

There is also a homebrew competition on Saturday. As always, they are looking for judges and stewards. You get free swag and entry to all of the events and dinners. They are so desperate that they are going to let me judge a couple categories. If interested in helping out, let me know..

Sweet. I am driving up on Friday to hit one of the state parks and then judge on Saturday. If I remember to do laundry, my TBN shirt will be prominently displayed at the competition.

The results haven't been posted on the website yet but I included the link. Check back in a couple of days. I have a copy of the results right here. Instead of posting all of the winners, just let me know which ones interest you. We had over 240 entries this year and judging all of them was a hoot.

The BOS was a Pumkin Ale (yup, a spice beer actually won). Second BOS was a Bourbon Barrel Barleywine. Third BOS was a Maple Mead. Finally, an honorable mention was given to a Saison...
