Crescent Moon's 5th Annual Extreme Beerfest is set for 12 February from 2PM-7PM at the Tip-Top ballroom in Omaha (near the Qwest Center).

A few of us have secured a booth at the fest to represent the BN Army, and wanted to open it up to any other locals who wanted to join us.

We've decided to do a CYBI theme, with each of us picking a CYBI recipe and bringing the beer. So far, we've got brewers for Stone's Arrogant Bastard, Firestone Walker's Union Jack, Nogne's Porter, and Terrapin's Wake and Bake Coffee Stout. There are a bunch more CYBI beers that meet the 7% ABV montra for the event, but feel free to pick one of the smaller beers if you'd rather. We have to submit a list of the beer we are bringing by 15 January.


Your keg of beer gets you into the event for free. In the past, we've taken turns pouring, giving everyone a chance to head around the room and sample. If you don't use kegs yet, we can work something out.

I plan on being there, but I have no plans to do a CYBI beer. I have too many other beers on my list to brew. If you will take something else like my roggenbier or dunkelweisen I can do that.

That opens it up to anyone else who wants to bring something, but can't make a CYBI beer fit into thier schedule.

Tallgrass will be there, and Hood and I will be brewing something up special for the VIP session. I'm pumped there's going to be a BN'er booth.

I'll be there with my Terrapin Wake N' Bake Clone. Yes, I used the right yeast...

Got my starter going tonight. Will probably brew Sunday.
