Imperial Janet's Brown is pouring again at Russian River Brewing Company. Well, at least for the next few weeks.

Will it be at any outlets in the Easy Bay? Gonna be up there soon. Cheers!

Julian,

As if having your recipe brewed and served at RRBC isn't cool enough, Vinnie is also allowing me to send 7 bbl of the 18 bbl batch to a few local outlets of my choice for short runs.

Beer Revolution - Sunday, 11/14, 1PM
The Trappist - week of 11/08
Barclay's - week of 11/15
City Beer Store - week of 11/15
Toronado - week of 11/15
Downtown Joe's - week of 11/22 for 11/28 BN live remote
EJ Phair - Friday, 11/26, 6PM

Beer Revolution, Downtown Joe's, and EJ Phair are hard dates. The beer and I will be there on those dates. At the other outlets I'm just giving the delivery week and it's up to them to put the beer on when it fits into their line-up. I'll be posting the availability on Facebook once I know it's on tap.

The plan for a 100 bbl batch for charity next year is a little simpler. It will go to all RRBC draft and bottle accounts in California in time for BNA6/NHC 2011. Yes, 500 ml bottles as in on retail shelves next to those other two beers. :) Let's do the SoCal release at your place.

Awesome brew!
I stopped by last night after work and enjoyed a few pints.
Smooth and malty with a perfect hop balance. A great drink!

Tasty, did you brew this batch at RR ?
How true to your receipt is this version; I noticed the OG seemed a bit high @ 1.074?

Yes, I brewed (okay, Randy and Chad did all the work) the beer on the pub system at RRBC. It's very close to the beer as i brew it. 1.074 is the target gravity of this beer. I've created confusion by having both a 1.065 and 1.074 version. As much as I call the 1.074 version Imperial Janets' Brown, the imperial just gets thrown out. They both have the exact same hopping schedule. The bigger one has a little more base malt and some sugar.

If you listened to the Sunday Session last night you already know that the Downtown Joe's live podcast is now on 11/21 not 11/28.
