Beer Meetup/Trade in Auckland, NZ?

I'll be in Auckland, NZ on October 20th and I was hoping to be able to meet us with some locals and maybe trade some beer. I'll be coming from the Boston, MA area so I probably have access to things that aren't otherwise available. Things like the Harpoon 100 Barrel series beers that you see in magazines and whatnot.
I'm looking forward to trying some NZ beers and would love to bring some beer with me for like minded types. Please let me know if you are interested. The venue is open for discussion, but it would need to be accessible by public transportation as I am without a car on this trip.

Since there has been no reply here, I take it to mean that there is no interest in meeting me to trade or talk beer. I've found some leads on what kind of beer to try while I'm in Auckland, so that will be good. If there is interest, I'll try to check this post when I arrive on the 19th.

Hi Sporkboy,
Just heard the podcast. I'm not sure there is an active NZ base on this forum. Can I suggest you post to
http://www.forum.realbeer.co.nz/ which is much more active. Mention you are a BNer as there are listeners in Auckland. I'm afraid I'm in Christchurch so can't make it.
Hope this helps

Hey dude,
Just been listening to the session and just picked up on the fact that you're visiting next week. There are a few BN listeners down here in NZ but I'm not sure how active they are on the forum, so they may not have spotted this thread.
Normally I'd love to meet up with you and talk beer, but I'm heading off on a business trip on Thursday so can't really do anything on Wednesday. Hope you have a good visit. As has been mentioned, try posting on the RealBeer forum - that's the most active forum for NZ beer geeks.
You say you've done some research on places to go, but just in case I'd recommend:
Galbraith's Alehouse (awesome hand-pumped real ales, great food)
O'Carroll's on Vulcan Lane in Auckland city
Brew on Quay (Quay Street, Auckland City)
Cock & Bull, Newmarket
If you're reliant on public transport then Hallertau is probably out. As Jamil points out, it's a 70 dollar cab ride from town (although he didn't mention that I split the fare with him!).
Hope you enjoy your trip, and sorry I can't meet up.
Cheers,
Martin
