How long is too long to post results?

Say there was a comp you entered, say it was held Sat. Would wed. be a good amount of time to post the winners, so those of us not there could know if they placed or not? Say you have emailed, looked up every place for this info and not found it. Would you be peeved at all or should I just shut my face hole and relax?

I understand not getting score sheets etc for a bit, but just post the damn results already.

Ideal: live blogging them like UMMO or aired live like NHC.
Really totally awesome: by Sunday night
Good: by Wednesday night
Acceptable: Within a week

I would wait at least a week before getting peeved.

Remember that it is volunteer labor and I think if they choose the volunteers can get drunk Saturday night and be hungover all Sunday and deal with results and mailing starting Monday, they earned it.

Also remember the results are often posted on a club website and the competition organizer may not have access to edit the website so you are waiting for several people.

Results are usually announced at the event so if you know someone who was there, they probably would have noticed your name.

Relax. There's no good reason for it to take more than a day, but it's not uncommon for it to take a week or two. Emailing is not likely to help, the organizers know everyone wants the results ASAP. Just make a mental note of which comps take longer, and send your entries to ones that post results quickly next time.

OK, thanks. Was just not sure how long is good. I will have some beer and just not think of it for a while, then one day I will be surprised.
