Is Tasty working the cellar at NHC this year?

Sun May 30, 2010 8:06 pm

Hi, just a quick question which hopefully someone can answer before I ship my 2nd round entry out tomorrow. Is Tasty going to be the cellarmaster for NHC? If so I was going to ship him a few extra bottles for his head-stash!

My guess is no. I just attended a meeting for planning for the 2011 NHC and they weren't even sure if the BN was going to have a BNA here or if Paxton was going to prepare the award banquet dinner. My guess for both of those is yes, but they mentioned a cellaring committee and made no mention of someone from this year's NHC or last year's participating.

Granted I don't know for sure, but based on what I learned this week, I'm fairly confident in saying that Tasty will not be the cellarmaster this year.

Cellar team is always local.

Cellar team could always use a gift cause when they're doing the job right, they're busting balls the size of EPCOT for virtually no love. It's a crappily hard job.

Cellarmaster for the NHC is a job that you can only be tricked into taking once. Eric Anderson will be your cellarmaster this year. I met Eric at least year's conference when he spent a good amount of time in our cellar to see how we were doing things. I expect he and his crew will do a flawless job this year.

Well, Tasty, I'm sorry you won't be getting a few presents because you deserve it. But, as Drew mentioned, it's always good Karma to "tip" the cellar team and show your appreciation. So I will throw a couple of extra bottles in or whatever I can fit in the box I am shipping. Good luck in 2nd round guys!

First rule of 2011 NHC is that we don't talk about 2011 NHC!!!!
