3 Floyds on the way to the NHC?

Sun Apr 18, 2010 7:08 am

My buddy and I are mapping out our roadtrip from PA to the NHC. We figure 3 Floyds in Munster, IN might be a good halfway point to stop for the day. Does this sound like a good plan, and are there any other places we should consider?

I'm a big fan of 3F's... after there you could stop by Flossmor Brewing Co... about 20 mins or so away in Illinois.
3F's is worth the stop, but you might not want to leave :) After you slam a few beers go across the street a bit and hit WhiteCastle :D

Oh...White Castle. I figured we'd be done traveling for the day.

New Glarus Brewing co. If nothing else, just to pick up a few bottles and do the brewery tour.

Crap! Now you're making me rethink our route!

I was planning on avoiding Chicago and taking I-74 west out of Indy to I-39 north at Bloomington, based on a suggestion from a friend that drives from Columbus, OH to Madison, WI a few times a year. A stop at 3 Floyds is tempting though...

Stop at Southshore Brewing in Michigan City In, Three Floyds in Munster In and then Flossmore Station in Flossmore Il. Oh then go to Piece Brewing in Chicago. All great places for beer! Beermapping.com is a great resource in the area. Have fun! :jnj
