I live in Maplewood, about 15 minutes away from Morristown. The Gaslight Brewery runs a homebrew shop out of a back room. Not your typical place, there is no store to shop at. You phone or e-mail Dan Sr. what you want and then pick it up at the bar when it's convenient for you. It doesn't lend well to browsing, but the prices are good and it's local. They also run a brewclub out of that bar. It's called DB15 and the next meeting is Sunday, Jan 17 at either 3 or 4. I think it's 3 and if you come early, you can just enjoy a pint at the bar, no real loss. The club meeting is upstairs, just ask the bartender and he'll point you in the right direction.
You can get the details on the Gaslight and his U-Brew shop here:
http://www.gaslightbrewery.net/u-brew/Other than that, there is someplace in south jersey I've never been and there is a shop in Clifton NJ,
http://www.corradosmarket.com/. Corrado's main store is a really cool place with interesting cheeses and homemade sausage and things like that. Behind it (in a different building across the street), is a huge wine supply store. They have beer supplies, but it's an afterthought and I found that they are expensive. Worth a visit, but your closest choice I think is U-Brew at the Gaslight.
Welcome to the area! Picked a cold time to come from Arkansas. Good luck and I hope to see you at the DB15 meeting.
