IPA Tapping @ Triple Rock Tonight

Mon Dec 28, 2009 10:10 am

We're tapping a fresh batch of Laurel IPA at Triple Rock tonight, Monday, the 28th. Some of you may have had a chance to sample this beer at the NHC over the summer. Rodger Davis was gracious enough to let me brew a batch at Triple Rock a few weeks ago. He's a class act and a truly great guy - mad props to Rodger. Sorry for the late notice, but I hope to see a few fellow BN'ers there. Cheers! :bnarmy:

My parents live in Oakland, so I'm up visiting for the holidays, but unfortunately, I don't think I'll be able to make it to the BN Encore event.

I served two American IPAs at the NHC in June: Melrose, which was the one my club used for the competition, and Laurel, which was the other one we had at our booth. The recipe for Laurel was covered in a column from BeerAdvocate magazine from a few months ago. Master brewer and Maltose Falcon member Drew Beechum penned the article.

I believe the beer went on tap earlier today. I plan to arrive after 6pm.
