Toronado to Toronado

Sat Oct 31, 2009 12:00 pm

Motor and I had the big idea that it would be fun to open one Toronado and close the other Toronado on the same day. I finally scheduled the jet. Virgin America will take us to San Diego in time to open Toronado there and then return us back to San Francisco so we can close 547 Haight Street "the same day".

here are the details if you want to ride along:

11/21 Virgin America
SFO - SAN (67) 10:50
SAN - SFO (969) 8:20

seats 17CD there 13CD back

$171 RT

the time exactly I'm not sure. but let's call it from 1PM to 5PM. there is talk of dropping by Hamilton's or some other place for one more before the flight.

I was going to suggest Hamilton's since it was in the neighborhood. I would be great to have a beer with you guys. How are you getting around town?

according to Motor there's a bus that takes us right there.

I got to go to Hamilton's when I was in town for the Craft Brewers Conference (what a super fun blur BTW). I didn't want to leave.

I might be able to pick you guys up from the airport, depending on how my schedule looks next week. I live downtown and it's just a few minutes from Lindbergh Field. That will give you more drinking time. Cheers!

thats TWO days. so yeah, you have that record. we're doing ONE day. a new record. although somebody pointed out that technically it won't be open and close in the same day unless we close SF before we fly 8 hours later. whatever I say. as near as anyone knows, nobody has done the T to T yet.
