This is really short notice, but most of you aren't close enough to Omaha to make it anyway.
The biggest beer festival ever held in this state will be held this Sunday, September 13th. Over 25 breweries and more than 80 beers will be there.

The Great Nebraska Beer Festival, held in conjunction with the Sarpy Arts Council's ARTS ALIVE! event, will be focusing on craft beer with a spotlight on Nebraska's own hand-crafted ales.
Exemplary craft breweries and their brands will take center stage for a 5 hour tasting event geared toward craft brewing education, meeting with craft brewers, and the shared camaraderie of other craft beer enthusiast.

The big reason I mention this is that the Brewing Network will have an official presence there. I originally had volunteered to help serve beer so I could drink for free (too cheap to buy a ticket). When I showed up for the volunteer orientation meeting, Paul Kavulak, owner and head brewer for Nebraska Brewing Company, asked me if I would consider setting up a table promoting The Brewing Network. He said this was a way of giving back to us for the help we have been to him over the past year or so. You may remember that he was one of the interviews Justin did at GABF last year.
Anyway, thanks to Chad and BrewTat, I have fliers, business cards, and tmporary tattoos as handouts. Paul is providing wifi access and electricity so I can have the BN site up on the laptop and stream some show. I'll even have my BN/Brew Strong shirts on display as props. Hopefully I'll have some new recruits for the BN Army out of this.
Justin had better have a good show planned for that night for the new recruits. I'll try to call in on Sunday night and give a report on how the event went. I'll also get some pictures posted here in the forum.
