Members of the BN Army, I am traveling to Minneapolis for a conference during the week of Sept. 13 - 17. If anyone lives in Minneapolis or knows the area, I will be staying at the Hyatt, 1300 Nicollet Mall, and I want to sample beers from local brewpubs. Obviously, I need to plan my trips so that cab fare is reasonable. Does anyone have any must see/taste brew-pubs? Come on drinkers, help a BN Army brotha out.

There is a Rock Bottom very close to Hyatt, walking distance if you have 15 minutes and directions. Also check out Town Hall Brewery, 5-10 minute cab ride depending on traffic. The Herkimer is another great brewery in the Uptown area (where the cool kids live) also 5-10 minutes from the Hyatt in the other direction.

You could make it easy on yourself and just visit http://www.mnbeer.com for all the info. That site also has info on brewpubs in St. Paul and the location of Northern Brewer.

Town Hall, Town Hall, Town Hall! Excelent beers and food. They have the #1 IPA on beer advocate. Dont live in Mini, but have bben there a few times and glad I found this place. Also try and bring back some Surly Brewing company Furious IPA, havent tried it, but sounds really good!

Furious is an awesome beer. I'm actually brewing a clone this weekend. There are lots of other craft breweries in MN to look for too, I'm partial to August Schell's (2nd oldest family owned brewery in America). Not to :horse but go to http://www.mnbeer.com for all the beer info you need in MN.
