Who's going to the BJCP Judge Reception at the AHA NHC?

Thu Jun 04, 2009 12:56 pm

After missing out on the bus tickets, I have signed up to attend this reception; Who else is attending?

http://www.bjcp.org/reception.php

I am looking forward to Sean's meal/beer pairing from some of the more active supporters of the BN. I am sure there will be a large contingent of people who will be attending this event, and needing a ride to Linden Street, so might the busses still be in town? Perhaps a Pimp in his Cadilac, or a drug dealer in his Suzuki Samari, can give me a lift.

Should be fun...

BTW- Got to love the second FAQ, and the reference to the BNA4 going on at the same time...
Justin, your beer might never doing anything for the AHA (at least positive), but your show sure has (congrats).

Were Going. Talking with a few guys last night Its a tough choice on what to do. As much as I want to party down the dinner ends at 10 and I have to be up by morning for judging. Maybey Im a puss but I wouldnt feel right showing up to judge and not feel like Im giving every beer a fair shot.
Heck I still havnt even found a place to stay for the night. I suppose something will come up.

Sven is the jackass putting the BJCP reception on. You'll have a great time and learn a lot too. Unlike at the BN party... except what my ass looks like. You'll probably learn that.

My brother and I will be at the BJCP reception, and like BDawg we'll probably bail early.

Like Push said I'm the :asshat: that is organizing the BJCP reception, I'm also the :asshat: that wrote the reception page so that is how the BN4 reference ended up on the page. I too am planning on going to Linden Street put i have to wait until the very end to go so you know that I won't be running the event too late. Tentatively here is how I hope for things to go down.

6:00 - 6:30/6:45 Meet and greet; Craftsman 1903 lager
6:30/6:45 - Dinner (for about one hour to one hour and fifteen minutes)
~8:00 - Prof. Bamforth
~8:30/9:00 CEP tasting and palate training
done as early as 9:30

If nothing else just wait for all of the :bnarmy: to come back to the hotel and continue partying with your :nutters: at the after party.
