We're still trying to figure out exactly what about this video was deemed inappropriate:

Great video and looks like it was a great brew day! Obviously someone does not like you. I didn't know you could just bitch about something on you tube and have it removed. That's pretty fucked.

There was zero content that could possibly be construed as offensive in any way. Well, that's not totally true. I was somewhat offended that I didn't get more closeups of Timberly. Also there was some ever so slight slurring of speech eminating from some of the featured brewers. That is a direct indicator of aggrevated alcohol consumption; and that is the type of tomfoolery that is tearing this county apart. That kind of irresponsible "having one or two beers" behavior is turning our kids into whores and meth heads and is directly responsible for our failing economy and us losing the wars in the middle east.

Other than that i thought it was good.

Honestly any stumbling during the videos was more of a result of not being accustomed to having a camera stuck in our collective faces (most of us didn't know the video was being shot for http://www.hereforthebeer.com until late in the event when they shot the opening and closing shots). We had about 7500 views after 3 days when YouTube pulled the plug, 2000 more than the previous years AHA video winner. At this point we can only suspect another group wasn't liking our success and registered enough complaints to trigger it's removal.

It was a really fun event and we like to think a really great video - just too bad we're out of the running for the AHA contest.

That was a cool video. I have no idea why that was pulled from Youtube, but yeah, that's fuckin' bullshit. Is there any possible way that someone could've accidentally flagged it as "inappropriate?"

The latest rationale from YouTube is that the video contains “dangerous or illegal acts”. The video clearly states that it was filmed in Feeding Hills, Massachusetts where homebrewing is very much a legal activity.

on some videos they make you confirm your age before viewing, usually for stupid things like drunks riding BMX bikes off their roof into a pool

I could see doing that if the video actually portrayed anything dangerous, stupid, etc. Aside from some vigorous wort aeration by yours truly, I thought it was downright wholesome. I'm done with YouTube - but you can see for yourself here with a non-YouTube video clip:

Hopefully we can get YouTube to change their mind. We also sent a nice note to the AHA Governing committee to be sure everyone's aware in case other videos get pulled and to inform them of the perceived dangers of homebrewing
