Austin, TX next Saturday. Where to go?

I'll be in Austin next weekend. We're going to be downtown off I-35, and mostly between 183 and 290. I will definitely be visiting Austin Homebrew Supply.

I checked the Continental Club and Broken Spoke, but there's nobody playing there I'm interested in.

Beer and Texas Country music go good together. Any suggestions for brewpubs and/or music in that immediate area?

Yup, you gotta try the kellerbier.

For country music, IDK really, but look up Antone's and Jovita's.

If you're at Austin Homebrew Supply, you're only a couple of miles from North by Northwest. My favorite place to have lunch after getting ingredients!

For music, check http://www.do512.com. For beer, the aformentioned Uncle Billy's and NXNW as well as the Draught House, not to be confused with the Alamo Drafthouse ;)

So far... Re: Austin, TX next Saturday. Where to go?

Ray Benson (Asleep) is always a good show. I've seen them several times. Lots of Texas Swing type stuff (danceable).

I know zilch about Bruce Robinson, but he's got some songs on that myspace page, and the Broken Spoke is a recommended place (so is Antone's).

I have also been told that I must have a Mexican Margarita at "The Cedar Door". Sounds like a setup!
