I got 12 of my 15 in and paid. All for the BN. Sent 6 through last year, but came up empty in 2nd rd. Good luck to all.

Looks like the whole thing is f'ed.. It's going to be hard to match up those entered beers with the credit card approvals.

A lot of people are having the same issue, paid, but not marked as paid.

National Homebrew Competition Registration Update
National Homebrew Competition Registration Update

NHC Registration Update: The American Homebrewers Association (AHA) is halting National Homebrew Competition (NHC) registration due to the extensive technical difficulties with the system that we have been troubleshooting (to limited effect) since registration opened earlier today. We will post updates on the status of NHC registration as we have them.

The AHA is deeply sorry for the problems associated with NHC registration today. The AHA worked in advance with our providers to ensure that registration would be seamless. But as we all saw, that did not result as promised or planned. We accept responsibility for today’s failures, and we apologize for the headaches.

We realize there will be many questions about next steps for existing and hopeful registrants. Again, please stay tuned for details.

Thank you for your support of the National Homebrew Competition. At the end of the day, the NHC—the world’s largest beer competition—is a testament to your creativity and success as homebrewers. Cheers to that, and again, please accept our apologies.

The aftermath should be interesting. I realize what the NHC is going through in terms of growth, I hope they can work things out in a fair way for everyone.

It was truly frustrating trying to get in there, and getting bad information from the system. It literally went from 0 at my location to closed and full in 30 minutes, then open again and closed again. It was tough to know what was going on. I really hope they work it out. I'm excited to compete so i hope they honor my existing registration.

Definitely quite the clusterfuck today... I too can't wait to see how they handle this. A lot of the sites went over 750 entries as registered. What does that mean?

My "refresh" finger has a callous! :nutters:

(but I think I got 4 in right before it shut down...)

There was something duplicating entries. I registered 15 entries with random styles and names just to get them in. When I checked later it showed I had 20 entries with some duplicates. I'm guessing that the duplicates happened to other people to and when the dust clears there will be some spots open for people to register
