EDIT: In hindsight, I will say this for next year. At the beginning of the festival the bathroom supply seemed adequate, midway through it was apparent that, for the amount of beer that was flowing, it wasn't going to cut it!

Yeah, I don't think they could have predicted this event to have such a turn out, which in turn caused long lines at the bathroom and for food. We "set up camp" next to Paxton's booth, and people in line said they had to wait 45+ min to get grub; so we reluctantly chose to eat back at Jack London Square :x .

Seeing a beer festival get this much patronage warms my heart, and my groin :nutters: . The first is always learning experience; so I can't wait for the next one!

Oh, here's a story: On our train ride back from Jack London to Sacramento, someone committed suicide by jumping in front of our train just before Davis. They kept us on the train for 2 hours while waiting for the coroner to show up. They eventually brought buses to take us to the Sacramento station. Not seeing anything any news yet on it. weird....

Definitely a learning experience for next year, add at least 50% more bathrooms minimum. I got into Paxton's line early, but the pig wasn't done yet. However, the sausages and Toronado bars were both excellent. I noticed the line got longer as the day progressed. The Emergency BBQ line was just about as long. I think that flat bread place near the front was the way to go later in the day. They were busy, but not swamped like the places in the back. Some great beer and I think it was smart for them to break up the areas like they did. The back area with the cooler was still insanely crowded. All in all, for a first attempt, I have to say, they did a damned fine job of things!

great time seeing everyone! Beers were great as to be expected. With all the hype on the food the lines were to be expected.
Some things my wife saw that was needed was some drinks for the non beer drinkers. water , coffee or sodas. Im really looking forward to next year.

That Jipper was a natural when it came to handling the sausages. I certainly was impressed with the way he handled mine...by which I mean spread carmelized onions on it.

Had a great time. The beer gods were smiling giving us great weather.

My observations were the same as the others, more bathrooms. The food lines were crazy, I ended up in the BBQ line and got the last of the tri-tip about 3pm. The beer lines got ridiculously long toward the end of the day, so we left early for dinner at Magnolia and then beers at the Toronado.

Great job guys, looking forward to next years :jnj
