why are some regions not judging until the end of the month when the entries have been there for weeks?

they judge when its convenient for them. FYI...Janis said to not expect posting of results until early May.

who wants to bet that the northeast is the last to submit their results and won't send out scoresheets until June?

I still haven't received my scoresheets from last year....

All I can say is be part of making sure your region can get the judging done as fast as possible. If you enter beers in ANY competition, you should be a part of an execution of a competition.

My highest score was 40, for Russian Imperial Stout.
I wonder if that's good enough to move on.
Would it say so under "place awarded" ?

If you got a 1st, 2nd or 3rd in place awarded, then yes, you moved on.

Regardless, great job on getting a 40!
Must be a great beer.
