Weird.... and here, all this time, I thought that comps were anonymous. Oh well -- I will still enjoy my first time placing.... and will send a big WHOO-HOO to Mraz, Greg, Alex, Marshal, Nathan, and any other BNers I know who placed. I hope to one day be as bad-ass of a brewer as you folks are, whether I have the ribbons to prove it or not.
:jnj Cheers, MFers.

If you're not in Alpha beta or Lambda Lambda Lambda, you don't stand a chance.

But congrats to all of the frat boys and sorority girls for winning....again. I'd wish you luck next year, but you obviously don't need it.

Uh, dude. Every AHA comp is completely 100% anonymous. The only person that might know who's beer is who's is the organizer - and they do not judge. The fact that the "same people" end up winning all the time is because they are really talented brewers, and can nail a style - not because they are part of some club. The BN "virtual" club is probably the best in the world - because we have the best resources from which to learn from. You've done the first part - you are part of the BN Army. Now, if you want to win medals, then maybe you should devote some time and energy into cleaning up your process and finding a great recipe, instead of bitching that it is a contest subject to favoritism.

Word... these people win because they work at it. That's what you have to do is work harder... not boo and throw peanuts. That's why Jamil didn't win anything... he didn't want to be accused of winning because he's Jamil!!! I don't really know... but it sounds good.

Congrats all!!

Now regarding that, you probably have a valid beef. Email the dude and tell him that you cannot read his writing.

Judging has made me work on improving my handwriting. The elementary school workbooks on my desk at work make people think I either just discovered a long lost love child or am a bit slow...
