Just went to JZ's link after Justin talked my wife into going to the NHC last Saturday. Looks like the Marriot is already booked full. What is a good alternate hotel location?

Does that include the Marriott Courtyard too? The NHC website now says:
Additional rooms are available at the group rate for Wednesday, June 17 through Saturday, June 20 at the Courtyard Oakland Downtown hotel (1-510-625-8282), which is across the street from the Oakland Marriott City Center. The Group Code is AHAAHAA.

According to Expedia, there are still rooms at the "Jack London Inn" and the "Inn at Jack London Square" (separate places) which are both less than 1/2 mile from the convention center.

OK - I got a room in the city center hotel, the promo rate rooms are all sold out, but there are still other rooms left and are not much more than the promo rate.

No NHC tickets on sale yet at at Beertown.org - website says they should be posted early Nov, so should be coming up any day now.

See you there.

BN4 anni party is the weekend before still? Too soon for a location? Wife would love to stay in the city. Or Napas. Sonoma by Russian River? Or Antioch? I know, too soon.

I am hoping the anniversary party is shortly before NHC. Like Tuesday or Wednesday. I don't think I can get to Oakland before Tuesday.

I am thinking the Anniversary party will be Tuesday since pre-conference events will be occurring on Wednesday.

I wonder what the likelihood is that the party will be near the hotel. I don't want to add Tuesday night in Oakland if the party is in Napa. Any preliminary thoughts, J?

When I booked my NHC room I tried to get it early figuring the anniversary party would be nearby, The Marriot's regular rate was way too expensive so I figured I'd just find another room somewhere for Tuesday night. I'm hoping the party will be somewhere outside Oakland so room rates can be reasonable.
