Yeah, you'd think. But, no.

Just trying to fend off rumors of my demise. :D

I haven't been on the forums for months, but I was finally able to get enough breathing room to do a couple of drive by postings.
I hope my post helped in some way. If not, please feel free to contact me.

Looks like I will be going to the 2nd round
I got three firsts with my Bohemian pilsner, American Pale Ale, and Belgian Specialty.

My RIS scored a 42  and did not place...

Mike how did you sours do?

Not as good as I hoped, But that means 3 more bottles for me to drink(always thinking positive). Actually my sours are not to right to style. As is my Gueuze witch should be a blended 1 year, 2 year, 3 year old lambics. It is hard to make a traditional Gueuze if you have not been brewing for 3 years...
My Gueuze is a blend it is just a 6 month old and a 10 month old beer...

Congratulations Mike,

Your 2nds and 3rds get to advance too, right ?

Thank you,

If you have 1st, 2nd or 3rd or even a pass they do advance to the second round. After that all beers are equal at that point. So you could have a 3rd in the first round and then a 1st in the second round. Correct me if I'm wrong, that is the way it was explained to me...

If you are asking me? I did not get any 2nds or 3rds...

Who needs 2nds and 3rds when your getting 1st. :D

Your understanding of the rules sounds right to me. One year I got a 2nd in the first round and managed to get a second in the final round. Last year one of my bottles was dropped in the first round so it advanced also but didn't do anything in the finals.

This year I managed one 1st and three 2nds.
1st Schwarzbier(4C)
2nd Blonde Ale(6B), Scottish Export(9C), and Foreign Extra Stout(13D)

Good luck in the finals to all of the winners.

Way to rock it Cuda! :D Keep bringing it strong.

How did a 42 not place? You must have been up against some phenomenal RIS's.

My buddy got at 47 point score from Kevin Pratt on his American IPA. He did NOT place.

Me thinks he is having a hard time dealing with this one.

Bump

Good scores for me overall but no going to the second round this year.

c'est la vie.
