Hopefully we find out closer to the may 1st than may 8. I will have to rebrew a couple of the beers if they advance and don't have much time to get them done.

info on the Final round?

Tue Apr 28, 2009 9:11 pm

Hi all--

long-time reader/listener first-time poster. I've been looking around a lot and trying to find info on the Final Round. I see June 18 is the date of the judging. But what's the due date of the beers? Is it just showing up at the AHC? Not good if you're not attending  And how many bottles?

Just curious since I actually had a beer make it (3rd place, Munich Dunkel, West Region). I guess dontblake and I will be competing directly :)

I guess I must have overlooked this key info. Can someone point me in the right direction? thanks!

I would go ahead and brew now, that way if they do advance, they will be ready.

Just sayin'

My guess....the AHA won't post the results online for all regions until May 12th....but you may receive your scoresheets and personal results before that, depending on how lazy your region reps are.

I give a lot of props to who ever is in charge of the West. The judging ended on April 19th and they sent in their database that day. Maybe they can give pointers on how to get things done for other regions.

I think it was about 2 weeks before the conference last year Matt. You'll get a packet in the mail from the AHA with the labels for your Dunkel (congrats by the way) and shipping instructions.

and it's 3 bottles for the 2nd round
On tap 1: Dry Irish
On tap 2: El Jefeweizen
On tap 3: Vienna
kegged: Rye Amber, Belgian Dark Strong, CYBI Mirror Pond, Irish Red, RIS
lagering: Vienna, Helles, Cream Ale, CAP
