I was surprised too that out IPA did not place. It is only the second time an IPA that I was apart of did not place. (the last time the IPA was infected with homegrown hops). I have found that in the Northeast IPA's are hit and miss with judges. Some judges love that crystal sweetness of dogfish head or English Ipa's very few judges truly know what a West Coast IPA is all about. Anyhow, We (BBKF and I) will be kicking the rest of the IPA at Phish tomorrow. Sorry Fritz for dumping that "great beer".

IPAISAY is TOM and not "Mark". State fair results are wack!

Let's give a shout out to Brew Engineer for winning American Brown in the 09 Longshot! Sorry it is not moving on to the second round! BBKF/IPAISAY nill in longshot! Brew, If you private message me, I have a picture of your brown ale along a row of other beers for the best of show table at AWOG. Interesting picture!

You never know with IPAs.... but back to a more serious matter, when did BE get so modest.
Way to go George that is awesome, I am asuprise I am just hearing about it
Is it the brewing water in your neck of the state?

I LOVE my “Inter-Planet Janet's Brown Ale”. My only real change was for the bittering hops I had available.

Thanks again Tasty!

You are certainly most welcome but I am in deep gratitude to anyone who brews this beer and just plain likes it. Winning a medal in a major competition is just off the charts.

Congrats,

Tasty

Fritz,

Looks like our IPA jumped into third b/c of a DQ from an outastater! That is my favorite way to win...by default! So I guess our beers were not switched anyhow.

I think that makes "45 peanuts" (awards).
