Boo,

I noticed it said that the banquet was sold out. Is that right?

If so, I can only say god damn it. I was really, really, really looking forward to it. Crap.

I need to do something about my procrastination. Perhaps tomorrow.

Have two you can print off your comp for gbob and I? :unicornrainbow:   :bnarmy:

I don't have s**T going on this WE, so if I can do it on the cheap, I might try and make it down.

I'd ask the guy in charge of the banquet, but he may be on his last nerve and I still need a lot of help from the totally awesome dude....hes our IT guy also. I'll tell you what, pm me your real name and I'll see if I can pull your scoresheets and have them scaned and emailed to you.....this was something that we were going to try anyway this year so that we could send scoresheets the night of competition (and save on postage) but then we realized that some older brewers still don't have the interwebs.

You did clean house. Easy to do when you're running it and your entries are 20% of the field. I smell a fix.

No. Actually you and your brother kicked ass. Excellent work. You looked like Mr. T walking around with all those medals.

Gbob and I had, I think a respectable showing for only being brewers for 10 months and our entries being our first three all-grain batches.

5 Minute Hate IPA scored a 28
Hailstorm Ale scored a 26.5 as a Cal Common (I think we should've submitted it as another category)
Ebenezer oatmeal stout faired poorly, with a 21 but it was a problematic beer that we've brewed since and have had better results.

Booboo, thanks for all the work you did and thanks for letting those two homeless looking fuckers crash your party at the last minute. I had a blast. And Gbob can barely stand. His wife is going to be super happy with me when I pour him our of my car and onto their lawn in about 15 minutes.
gbob is a douche.

nickelcitybrewing.com sucks a little less than before.

Well, first comp ever and pretty cool. Booboos name carries much mojo, as we were able to get tickets.

Congrats to boo for smashing the hell out those awards. I'm surprised he was able to stand with the weight of all those medals.

I have to admit being a little disappointed in not getting a medal, but judges feedback was pretty damn cool. Our 5 Minute Hate IPA scored well, and the judges comment "potential front runner for next years contest" was great to see. IPA is a tough category, but I have a good feeling about our chances next year. A 29 is not too bad for a persons very first all grain batch.

I was not that happy with the judges comments for our Cal Common. "well crafted, but not very exciting" my ass. Look, this is a lawnmower beer. I'm very sorry that strippers don't jump out of the bottle and give you a hand job when you drink it, but it is what it is. This is the beer that most of our friends like to drink on a daily basis. Next year I'll up the hops a bit to please the judges, but the beer itself will continue to roll off our production line until someone tells us to stop. I think I'll also enter it in a couple different categories next year and see what sticks.

Our Oatmeal stout was a hot tranny mess, so I'm not too upset about it scoring a 21. How messed up was it? Well, we wound up with an extra gallon and a half of wort so obviously calculations were messed up from the beginning. Next year we'll show the world that we make the best stout in Buffalo.

Boo, once again you have my thanks. Everyone there put on a great show.
