Agreed - it was fun. Glad to hear you got something out of it.
6thStreet and Badrock should both consider going through a prep course and earning thier BJCP certification. Both did a great job and both have good palates. I think they'd make really good judges.

Mylo, my score sheets are in your mailbox already.

PS - Great labels, HerbalJoe!

Not to influence the judging or anything  , but my JBA just took gold at the Peach State Brew Off in Atlanta in Specialty as an India Brown Ale. (my first 1st!) I also took home gold for a Schwarzbier, and bronzes for Oatmeal Stout and an Oktoberfest. 12 Club Points for the BN!

Congrats... don't forget your obligation to the BN. Brew Engineer will jump in here and give you the link. He has recommended donation amounts for each medal.... (I couldn't find his thread).

It was a lot of fun and I feel I learned a ton. Big props to Bdawg for his judging expertise.

Five ribbons and best of show, that's $75. (It's unlikely, but I'll gladly donate if I win)

Hell, I'll probably donate something even if I lose, but 4 of the 5 beers I owe directly to the session and Jamil. Thank you!

Take up the challenge, BN Army!

And I'll double my donation if Vanna #1 posts the pictures of Vanna #2!!!

For the record, Vanna #1 never posted the pictures of Vanna #2. I cried a little bit (in my pants)

I've got at least $10 coming for my recent 3rd place finish. I'll wait on the scoresheets before I finalize my donation tally.

Our JBA took 3rd place in the American Brown category in that very same competition!
