For those of you that might not have seen it yet - Petedadink posted a link to some youtube videos on beer judging. The instructor is leading the students through the process of judging and filling out the sheet. More important than the actual mechanics of the sheet - there's are some tidbits that will make your scoresheets more helpful and accurate - like asking asking yourself "how much?" and "what kind?" when trying to describe the beer.
Since Tasty's recipe does not conform to any particular style, you really are going to have to ask yourself what qualities of each aspect (aroma, appearance, flavor, and mouthfeel) you would expect the ideal hoppy brown ale to have.
Then again, as I mentioned before, you might want to go back after you have tasted them all and make sure that not only is your score accurate for each beer, but the amount of separation accurate for the whole flight. Your scores do not have to match the other judges in your tasting group - but the total scores should be within 5-7 points of each other.
Also please remember that because each judge is tasting a separate bottle - there could be an infection or off flavor in one that is not in the other. If that seems to be the case - then there is no need to make your scores align within the normal 5-7 point spread.
