Re: NY State HomeBrewer of the Year

I brew with my brother as well, and I can honestly say that we make better beer together than separate. We are sort of on the flip side of this discussion though, because in Washington the HOTY can only go to one person. All it means out here is that only one of us accumulates the points. As far as knowing whether I could do it on my own, it sounds a little like sour grapes to me. They may have an advantage in pooled resources, but it looks to me like they may just want it more than other NY homebrewers. Personally, I'd rather be disqualified from the HOTY competition than not brew with my brother.
Sour/Brett Beer Fermenting: Lambic, Kreik, Flanders Red, Berliner Weisse, Orval, English Stock Ale
On Tap: nothing
Next on Tap: Belgian Pale Ale, American ESB and Sweet Cider
Next to Brew: Belgian Tripel and Dark Strong Ale

That is acceptable. :jnj

You haven't won it yet though! Don't get cocky, unless you want JP to come around looking for you.

Congrats, but that's another $90 donation to the BN.

Any BOS awards?

DONATE!!!

and Congratulations BBKF! You rock! I completely missed the deadlines for those two comps, so hopefully I'll catch the last two of the year, and boost my showing a little higher...
