Hoping to brew this beer this weekend. If I can't, then I'm probably out of this event, because my Decemeber is getting hectic.

Wish me luck!

Brewed yesterday and now fermenting away. One question though, I was thinking of brewing a Strong Scotch next and was wondering if I can reuse the yeast from this batch or not. At 1.066 I don't think it is high enough of a gravity to poop out the yeast but will the high level of hopping be detrimental to the yeast?

I think I remember hearing Jamil say that that high hop levels can cause issues with the cell walls, and therefore mutants. So you might get some JP-looking yeasty boys, ie. yeast with face pubes.

Brewed.....in the fermenters now.

I did the recipe from the "Tasty, you will always be my first" thread from BC Maui....I think it is a little different from the one in the Community Brew thread....

Nevertheless....it's Tasty's recipe, so it's gotta be killer!! :D :D
