Ebenezer's Belgian Fest 8/20

Fri Jul 24, 2009 5:15 pm

Anyone planning on going to the Ebenezer's Belgian Fest in Lovell, Maine from 8/20 til 8/29? The Paxton dinner is 8/20, but I can't afford that after dropping the cash on NHC/BNA. I'm thinking about heading up for a few days anyway though. I think the brewcasters mentioned the possibility of heading east for the event, is this true?

First I've heard of it... but I missed BNA/NHC, so I will DEFINITELY be going to the dinner.

You have a link or any info for tickets to that dinner?

Pretty sure the dinner has been sold out for a while. I have my two tickets in hand. You can try to call Eb's and see if you can beg for one more. All that being said I will be there for sure and more than just for the dinner. As much as I can. See you all there.

So, is it worth heading up there for the weekend even if not going to the dinner? I mean, it's worth going up to Ebenezers pretty much anytime, but does Chris pull out some cool stuff after the dinner has come and gone?

By the way NHBrewer, I hope you have had a chance to make it out to the Lion's Pride. I just happened to be camping in Maine during the opening week and made it there twice. Great beer and even better people. The bartender/brewer (I think his name was Michael - used to brew Casco Bay) gave me some input on brewing a saison; and i'm glad I took his advice... it turned out really great.

If you like hanging out with people that love good beer I would say that going to Ebs anytime during that week is well worth it. Everyone brings out the big guns for this festival. Hope to see you there.

The wife and I are have our tickets for the dinner. Can't wait for that. Not sure that we'll be sticking around for much more of the festival.

I will be heading down from Caribou for the dinner and staying in the area until Sat.
Any of you guys want to meet I will be in the area by noon on 8/20 to check into the Pleasant Point Inn.

And I too seem to remember the guys saying during one of the shows that they would be attending, at lease some of them.
