Teach a Friend to Brew Day

Thu Nov 05, 2009 4:38 am

My brand new club that I founded back in the spring is having the county's first ever beer event. I have managed to secure a location downtown to have the Teach a Friend to Brew Day. The local newspaper actually ran a small artilce for us.
We could use some help from the Army. The more hits this story gets, the longer it will stay on the home page of the newspaper. Please take a minute to click on the link so that we can make this article as visible as possible to the community. Trust me, this community needs it. Hopefully, the club will be able to raise awareness and change some minds in this "Bible Belt" community.

Yes, the pic is staged. He is stirring an empty brew pot. Glad he was available to help the club out and do the photo shoot on short notice tho! Nice job!

Good job bringing some craft beer culture to the area. I'll have to visit when I move to Atlanta next year.

Well done. It's tough to get people interested in something they've never experienced.
I hope you get a number of spectators.
Good luck!

We had an awesome turnout! We added 11 people to the club email list. There were probably about 15-20 people that showed up to watch and learn. Very happy with todays results. Actually got a couple of people who have brewed before. Kinda shocking in this area.
Maybe there will be someone who will be willing to nominate themselves as president next year!
