Man did I get blindsided at this event. I've had people take credit for my creativity before but Chad and the Mexican unabashedly claimed that this was not only their idea, but their beer. That was as blatant a misrepresentation as I've ever seen. No Tasty,.... no Longshot, no Shortshot...no event. These guys need to develop their own recipes and get their own awards. Then they can have their beer brewed and have a release.

Sounds a little spicy for a DIPA to me. Those hops bring out the spice even more.
Wait!! Now you are collaborating with pizza too!!!!!!!!!

Which brings up..........do you have a collaboration beer at the GABF?

My Janet's Brown Ale is entered in the ProAm and is on the schedule at Russian River this month. I don't know if the 21A is entering the Tasty or not.

Neither Chad nor Randy The Mexican have a collaboration beer but they will steal one from you if you don't watch them. :)

It was quite a time last night. Good to see everyone as well as our club members that took the time to come up . I was just lucky enough to have a side trip there.

What a great event. Homebrew-style brewed beer served at EJ Phair, right in the heart of the bay area homebrew/craft brew world. The homebrew community was out in force. I had one pint of the shortshot and before I knew it, it was gone. So clean, bright, fresh and layers of dank and citrus hops. One of the best hoppy beers I've had in a long time. Cheers to Chad and Randy for pulling that off, brewing in the middle of a restaurant kitchen! And.. normally we'd say 'suck it' but.. special thanks to Schumann for the live music.
Cheers! Kippis! Skål! Prost!

Randy and Chad will be brewing 20 gallons batches there on a regular basis so look for a release about every three weeks. I believe a Newcastle type beer is in the fermenter now.
