Re: Big Brews for National Homebrew Day May 2nd

Don't think I'm going to get in on a big brew day this year, because I'm going to be driving to visit friends and then hit the Goat Races at SlyFox the next day.

Oh... you gotta keep us updated on that beer. I'm wanting to make that, just to try it but I can't justify the price of the NZ hops just yet.... YET! And I don't feel like substituting.

My homebrew club has a big brew at the local CB&Potts, and last year it was a great time. I am going to brew a sour beer, my first. I was also thinking of brewing a second batch of my ridiculously hoppy DIPA (first version had 24oz in 5 gallons, I was thinking of beating that with this one, maybe 32oz).

Perhaps there is a brewery in the Bay Area (Triple Rock) which could do something similar.

Barrio Brewing in Tucson is doing this - but they are also letting us do all the work. Should be fun. They are doing a 50/50 mash with Pils and Munich - so there is a ton of different beers that we can all make.
