I have a bowl of christmas cake in one hand, and a pint of my oatmeal stout in the other... a match made in heaven.

It fails to get significantly better than this....

Thats the same reaction the rest of the world has when an American says "pumpkin pie" ... we just all pretend we know what the hell you are talking about

And yes, Christmas cake is a type of dense fruitcake ... closely related to plum pudding.
