Alright, so I'm trying to expand my tastes and I've picked up a four pack of Goose Island's Matilida. I am REALLY interested in others thoughts on this beer. Good example of style, bad example of style, just plain tasty etc.
Thanks

It's not a bad example, not the best either. I think it's a damn tasty beer regardless of how close to style it is. I like their Demolition as well.

Matilda Rox!.. not sure as far as style but it's got all the style I need.
I'm not a big fan of Demolition, but I do like Pere Jaques... YUMMI

If I remember correctly Matilda is their belgian style ale. If this is the case, style is kind of a no pants type of opinion. This was a great beer, and it is very belgian, no need for style guidelines there.

If you have the patience, sit on a few for a year and the Brettanomyces really kicks in. Tasty Orval-like goodness!

Bub sent me a bottle of it. Five stars. Would kill strangers for more.
